First Nine Weeks

   

American Indian Day Pageant

 

Conehatta Elementary School celebrated its American Indian Day  Pageant on September 23 and 24.  Students competed in the traditional pageant and a dress review to exhibit their traditional wear.  Winners of the brave and princess were chosen in three categories-lower elementary, upper elementary, and junior high.

 

 

American Indian Day Activities

During American Indian week, the students and staff participated in many traditional activities.  Students enjoyed playing stickball, shooting bow and arrow, participating in traditional dances, and many other activities.  The students also enjoyed watching the staff as they competed in washers.  Conehatta School also enjoyed a wonderful week of special foods ending with Indian tacos on Thursday.  To view more pictures from American Indian week activities, please click the link below.

Greatest Reader

An 8th grade student was recently given the title of the "Greatest Reader" for the months of August and September.  She had a total of 221 Accelerated Reader points for the month of September.  Way to go!  We are very proud of you!

 

 

Accelerated Reader Pizza Party

Conehatta Elementary School would like to say a big, "Thank you!" to Mr. Randy Anderson for funding a pizza party for Conehatta's Race for Reading Greatness.  The 8th grade and the top 6 readers throughout the school were treated to a pizza party with cake and drinks for achieving the highest AR points for the months of August and September.  This contest will continue throughout the year.
